With the task of understanding and display issued by the management, Youkang foreign trade team won the booth at the last moment at the end of February 2023, and participated in the American Urology Academic Annual meeting AUA2023 from April 28 to 30, 2023.
This AUA, according to the domestic and foreign doctors who came to the booth of Youkang, there are few 'new things' that make people bright. The number of Chinese companies participating in the exhibition has plummeted to less than 15 compared with that before the epidemic, basically focusing on urinary calculi, and almost all focusing on disposable ureteral soft scopes. Highlights the 7.5F soft mirror almost consistently.
From the academic end related to urinary calculi at this conference, ureteroscopy, disposable ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephroscopy, infection, ureteral repair (reconstruction), basic research, etc., are still hot spots, and the number of papers on disposable soft and percutaneous nephroscopy is significantly reduced compared with 2019. The number of ureteral repairs (reconstructions) increased significantly. Overall feeling, the number of urinary stone wall accounts for relatively large, almost the first. But the overall number of papers is not as large as in 2019.
Titled Removal of Small, Asymptomatic Kidney Stones and Incidence of Relapse, the poster, which won the Best poster award, attracted many doctors to stop to read and take photos. In this paper, as to the top of original articles published in the medical journal the NEJM in the August 2022 issue of (this article can be downloaded on the NEJM magazine web site https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2204253). It was concluded that intraoperative removal of asymptomatic small stones in the ureter or kidney reduced the recurrence rate by 82% and extended the recurrence time by 75%.
At this meeting, there was an extremely significant increase in the interest in the intraoperative stone removal rate of urinary calculi.
There have also been meaningful advances in basic research.
The doctors and agents from all over the world who came to Youkang's booth seemed to be uniformly looking for cheaper disposable ureteral soft scopes. But once the eye falls on the VCC that is about to be certified in the country, it almost consistently lights up at the moment, picking up to experience, understand, and inquire. For the surgical videos of Chinese doctors repeatedly played by Youkang, I watched them carefully, asked questions, understood the surgical details and the instruments used, and gave high attention and praise to the combination of Needle perc® and visual sheath.
Youkang's blood perfusion surgery learning system has aroused the interest of some doctors and carried out operational experience. Foreign doctors attach great importance to surgical simulation learning and training, which deserves great attention.
After 3 years, the first AUA exhibition came to an end in full harvest and more expectations for the coming year.
